BRANDON
JENKINS RELEASES NEW CD “VII”
Austin, TX
– Brandon Jenkins has always been a man who wasn’t afraid to
march to the beat of his own drum. With the release of his
seventh CD, justly entitled VII, Jenkins does just
that. On the heels of his groundbreaking CD Down In
Flames which produced 2 top 10 singles on the Texas
Music Chart, VII has a lot to live up to.
In a world of cookie cutter musical
acts, Brandon Jenkins is an artist with a personal vision
for his songs, not afraid to take a chance, or wear his
heart on his sleeve. “I think this is some of my best work,
the songs are the strongest yet, and we really captured the
energy of our live show for the first time in the studio”.
The 10 track disc has a wide array of subject matter; love,
death, reflection, and a couple party anthems, all done with
an edge and musical freedom missing from most CD's today.
The first single from the CD Why Did We Ever Say Goodbye
has already made some big waves on Texas Radio moving into
the top 20 before the release of the album.
Once again Jenkins recorded with his
own band at the time, made up of long time friends, David
Teegarden Jr., drums; Soupbone, lead guitar; and Scott
Jones, on bass. The band’s cohesiveness can really be felt
throughout the album, “These guys were out there in the
trenches with me night after night and they understood the
songs and what needed to be done on them, I’m really glad
they were on the record.”
